"Though short, these poems are
genuine…RECOMMENDED."

UNNATURAL DISASTERS
on new year's eve i drink my terror silently
wishing you were near me, in my sight
or even just a mile away. in absence now
i fear the shifting of the world about you,
pushing you into danger without your knowing.
which stray bullet will whine at your door,
which sheet of ice will steer your car?
when the phone rings
i drop my work and run.
i don't know if i'm running to, or from.
