TONGUES

I can say the word now

I can say the word of all words to you,

We listen

maybe with my hands
maybe in a new language
a strange thirsty tongue

the small silent word on skin
which you also speak.

for what the others
do not feel, always
hearing the air ring
with secret breath

always walking
toward that sound.
